A great week with ABCi
In the third week of this school year our third forms took part in the ABCi programme at our school.
It was great because the teachers from England, Ireland, the USA, Australia, and South Africa were extremely friendly and nice. We could only talk English with them, moreover we weren’t allowed to talk German.
Every day we started with singing and dancing different songs. We liked the songs a lot like, for example, “Captain Jack”, “Bubblegum”, “Coca Cola” or “I get loose”.
We also had a sports lesson every day and due to the great weather this week we could practise the different types of sports outside. We tried Australian and Gaelic Football, Ultimate Frisbee, and Lacrosse.
One of the best things in this week was that I met people from different countries with different English accents and I got to know kids from other classes because our groups were mixed. That’s why I have made new friends, too.
For Friday we prepared a performance and invited our parents, teachers, and schoolmates. It was good fun and they enjoyed watching it.
All in all this week was a lot of fun. I would like to do it again.
